IPv4 vs. IPv6
IPv4 addresses use four numbers separated by dots. IPv6 uses a longer hexadecimal format separated by colons. This page reports whichever version your browser used for this request.

What is my public IP address?
Your public IP is the address websites see when your internet traffic reaches them. It may belong to your internet provider, a shared network, a VPN or a proxy. The address on this page is the one observed for your browser's connection to FlameProxies.
Why does my IP address change?
Internet providers can assign a new IP when a connection resets or a lease expires. Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, changing a VPN server, or using a rotating proxy can also change the public IP a website sees.
Does this page show my IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time?
No. This lookup shows the IP version used by your current connection to this site. Your network may support both IPv4 and IPv6, but checking one connection does not reveal both addresses.
Can an IP address reveal my exact location?
No. IP geolocation is an estimate and can point to an internet provider's gateway or a VPN/proxy server instead of your physical location. The country shown here is supplied by the site's network edge when available; it does not identify your street address.
Will this show the IP of a proxy configured in another app?
Only if this browser's request actually passes through that proxy. A proxy configured in a scraper or a separate application does not change your browser's connection. Use the proxy tester to prepare endpoints for application-specific checks.
Does this IP lookup detect a VPN or prove anonymity?
No. An IP address by itself cannot reliably prove VPN use or anonymity. This page displays the address observed by the site; it does not perform a VPN reputation, WebRTC leak or DNS leak test.
Is my IP lookup cached?
The lookup endpoint sends no-store cache headers and the browser requests fresh data. The public page's guides and FAQs can be cached, but a visitor's IP address is fetched separately and is not embedded in the prerendered page.
